Recently, the Bahl family came to Johnson Memorial Hospital to meet with leadership and tour the Geriatric Wellness Pavilion. The family made a gift to the pavilion in celebration of Lorraine Bahl, who was a dedicated Johnson colleague for almost 20 years. She passed away in 2022 and once the pavilion was open, her husband Earl felt this would be the perfect place to honor his wife. A plaque was placed in the lobby and the family gathered around it to capture the moment.
Edna N. Rodríguez, LP-PsyD, Director of Behavioral Health, Dr. Robert
Roose, President of Johnson Memorial Hospital and Mercy Medical Center,
and Nurse Manager, Lauren Muccino, led a tour of the Pavilion with the
family and highlighted unique services provided. The family was especially
impressed with how peaceful, accommodating, and beautiful the unit was.
Earl was immediately touched and knew that Lorraine would be pleased
with their decision to support this program. We are grateful for their
generosity, which will assist this program in meeting the varied acute needs
of aging patients and their families.
